Payments, currencies and languages
Sell hosting to clients anywhere. Nuvabill takes cards and PayPal, bank transfers and local payment methods, bills in the currency you choose, and speaks your clients' language.
Payment gateways
Turn gateways on in Settings → Payment gateways; clients choose one when they pay. Card numbers never touch your server, because clients pay on the gateway's own checkout page. Each payment is recorded only once, even if a gateway sends its notice twice.

Iraqi payments included
Next to the international gateways, Nuvabill includes Iraqi payments with FIB, FastPay and Wayl.
- FIB (First Iraqi Bank): the invoice page shows a QR code and a short code for the FIB app, and on a phone, buttons open FIB Personal or FIB Business straight away. The page checks every few seconds and turns paid as soon as FIB confirms. FIB's own payment notice is checked too, so it works even if the client closes the page.
- FastPay: wallet checkout, with a staging mode for tests.
- Wayl: payment links for cards, wallets and bank transfers in Iraq, with a test mode.
These three take only Iraqi dinar. Your invoices can still be in dollars or another currency: see below.
Currencies
- Choose your billing currency from 38 currencies in Settings → General, before your first order. Among them: US dollar, euro, pound, Swiss franc, Canadian and Australian dollar, Turkish lira, UAE dirham, Saudi riyal, Qatari riyal, Iraqi dinar, Egyptian pound, Moroccan dirham, Indian rupee, Pakistani rupee, Indonesian rupiah, Malaysian ringgit, Singapore dollar, Chinese yuan, Brazilian real, Mexican peso, South African rand, Nigerian naira, Kenyan shilling and Ukrainian hryvnia.
- Set exchange rates in Settings → Currencies. When a client pays a dollar invoice with FIB, FastPay or Wayl, they pay the converted amount in dinar at your rate, and the invoice is marked paid in full.
Taxes
Add VAT, GST or sales tax rules by country and state in Settings → Taxes. Choose whether your prices already include tax and which products and domains are taxed, and mark clients as tax exempt. Invoices, PDFs and emails show the tax and both tax numbers.
26 languages
The client area and the admin area speak Arabic, Azerbaijani, Catalan, Chinese (Simplified), Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, French, German, Hebrew, Hungarian, Italian, Kurdish (Sorani), Macedonian, Norwegian, Portuguese (Brazil and Portugal), Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish and Ukrainian. Arabic, Hebrew and Kurdish pages read right to left, with prices in Latin digits so amounts read the same for everyone. Clients and staff pick their language from the top bar; you choose the default and which languages clients see.
Emails and PDF invoices are in English for now. Sending them in each client's language is on the roadmap.
When Nuvabill isn't the right fit yet
- You need a local gateway that is not included and do not want to build it as an extension.
- You want saved cards charged automatically at renewal.
- Your invoices and emails must be in your clients' language today.
- You bill in more than one currency at the same time.

Which payment gateways does Nuvabill include?

Which currencies can I bill in?
You choose one billing currency from 38, including US dollars, euros, pounds, Turkish lira, UAE dirham, Saudi riyal, Iraqi dinar, Indian rupees and Brazilian real. Choose it before your first order.
Can clients pay in a different currency from the invoice?
Yes, with the FIB, FastPay and Wayl gateways, which take only Iraqi dinar. Set an exchange rate in Settings → Currencies: the invoice stays in your currency, the client pays the converted amount, and the invoice is marked paid in full.
Which languages does the client area speak?
26 languages, including English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Turkish, Russian, Chinese, Arabic, Hebrew and Kurdish. Arabic, Hebrew and Kurdish pages read right to left. Emails and PDF invoices are in English for now.
